  • The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has blamed the Zardari Government for failing to achieve any concrete results from the 'Friends of Democratic Pakistan' moot.

“Parking of funds for Pakistan with the World Bank is a clear sign that no country in the world is willing to trust this regime,” The Dawn quoted PML-N Central Spokesman Ahsan Iqbal, as saying.

Iqbal added that channelling funds through the World Bank would put added burden on Pakistan since it will have to pay for additional costs in the shape of expensive World Bank bureaucracy overheads.

He also said that the government was facing a ''trust mega deficit'' both at home and abroad due to its lack of transparency, poor governance, and cronyism.

“Inside the country, people, opposition, and investors are increasingly getting skeptical about the government''s will and competence to deal with the challenges the country faces,” he said.

“The nation wants to know where are the 100 billion dollars which Zardari promised to bring in the country. It is a shame that the government is making Pakistan look like an international beggar,” he added.

International beggarBy: Hero Vaz | 23-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Pak is an international pariah. It hardly matters if Zardari turns Pak into an international beggar also. The reputation of Pak is lower than the lowest.
Zardari Govt making Pak look like an ‘international beggar’: PML-NBy: Abdulmajeed Khan Advocate | 21-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Respected Sir, We should restrain and refrain to use harsh tune in this respect. The statement of Mr. Nawaz Sharief is itself siginificant, depicting itself, the present position of Pakistan. We people of India are not happay towards the miserable conditions faced by the people of Pakistan. We have committed the mistake, and theory of two seprate nations, are in existence. We pray God, good sense should prevail upon the Government of Pakistan and they should work in brotherly manner with big brother India. We are fighting since 1947, which resulted only destruction, so why this policy should be allowed to follow further. The policy adopted by our Former Prime Minister Mr. Vajpaye should be believed and followed. We too are governed by the week PM and are unfortunate, that for justice, we have to come Delhi, we have people residing on foot paths. Our richness of government is used by rulers for their own luxuries mostly than to favour the poor Indian, who in poverty pay taxes.
Pak look likes an ‘international beggar’By: Juan Carlos d. Autopista | 03-Dec-2009 Reply | Forward Dear Mr. Advocate. I uggest you read some Pak online newspapers, especially the letters and you come to know about the anti-Indian sentiments in Pakistan. As you sow, so you reap.It is not the Indians who are carrying out the ats of terror in Pakistan but the Pakistanis. Please always keep the 26/11 in mind when you talk about compliance with the Paks. I,too, like you wanted friendship with the Paks till I saw they have no interest. If today Pakistan is poor, then you must know it is not India's that caused it.
AbsolutelyBy: NP Singh | 01-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward International Beggar should look like an International beggar. In fact the Military dictator Musharraf did it before he resigned as the President of the country, thou the earlier Military dictators too had a role of enriching themselves. It is a fact that all the past and present senior Military Officers there have enriched themselves without caring about the ordinary citizens who are impoverished. Is Zardari any better.? No way. He is Mr TEN PERCENT,as he is commonly known. The LEADERSHIP is solely responsible for the mess in which Pakistan finds itself.
Paki beggar buggersBy: Hero Vaz | 29-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward Pak is already an internationally reputed beggar. Zardari has nothing to do to create that image. Zardari has only to collect his ten per cent. If Pak did not beg, they would have had to depend entirely on drug money and Dawood Ibrahim, which would result in terrorism being starved of funds.
Unfortunatly it is true..By: Nikil | 29-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward This is a failed, frustrated, desperate politicians remarks. Not only Mr,Zardari, but all the pre-rulers are responsible for this situation. The Pakistani politicians, Army heads are misguiding the people by decades since independence. Most of the time they open their mouth to spit venom against India and spreads hatred among Pakistanis towards India. These Pakistani people do not know how to think. These uneducated mass, blindly trusts the politicians. This is the main reason why the people of Pakistan going behind terrorism and sneaking India for destabilizing India; and retards the development of India. India is losing 100s of officers and 1000 crores in Pak border every year. India has gone too forward after independence due to govt. policies, the Indian people cultural and religious upwards ness while Pakistan is since then are trying to defeat India in many ways and failing herself. They are literally begging to all the countries, selling nuke technology to Korea, Iran, Libya et.
