Using figures provided by Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee,Mamata Banerjee slammed the Left Front government saying there was 'zero governance' in the state.

Using figures provided by West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee,Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Saturday slammed the Left Front government saying there was “zero governance” in the state.

The chief minister had told the state Assembly on December 10 that between January to October this year there were 1,720 cases of murder,2,352 kidnappings besides 845 political clashes in which 1,794 people were killed.

“This shows there is total lawlessness prevailing in West Bengal and there is zero governance,” Banerjee said.

The Railway minister said she had written to Union Home minister P Chidambaram highlighting the figures the chief minister had himself provided in the assembly.
