Zydus Wellness Q3 net up 36.59 pct

Zydus Wellness said its net profit rose 36.59 pct to Rs 19.56 cr for the third quarter ended Dec 31.

Healthcare firm Zydus Wellness said its net profit rose 36.59 per cent to Rs 19.56 crore for the third quarter ended December 31,2010,over the same period last fiscal.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 14.32 crore for the same period in previous fiscal,Zydus Wellness said in a filing to the Bombay stock Exchange (BSE).

The company’s total income rose to Rs 90.88 crore for the quarter ended December 31,compared to Rs 75.34 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.

The Gujarat-based company produces popular products like Sugar Free and Nutralite.

Shares of Zydus Wellness were today trading at Rs 598 per piece on the BSE in the afternoon trade,down 0.41 per cent from its previous close.
