Is it their fame that leads them on to the path of self destruction or is it the quest for 'immortal glory' that somehow prods them into doing the unthinkable at the peaks of their career (Jimbo, Joplin, Cobain…the list goes on) ensuring that the generations that will follow will grow up only to know about their outrageous talents and untimely (& romantic) deaths. Hendrix penned these immortal lines to describe the state of being of his ‘cabal’
