Avika Gor won the hearts of millions when she became the face of the age-old Indian tradition of child marriage on Colors'' 'Balika Vadhu'. Anandi''s popularity as a child artiste lay in the innocence the character brought to the screen. She didn''t fall out of favour and continues to be among the top five characters even though the show took a generation leap. Today, she fights against injustice, is well-mannered, honest, family-oriented and confident. Pratyushi Bannerjee as the older Anandi will now also be seen as a contestant on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa''s new season.
