It is 6 December, 1992 and the saffron crowds comprising the RSS, BJP, VHP and the wider Sangh Parivar are gathered around what has arguably become the most divisive post-Partition issue in India – the Babri Masjid. D(destruction)-day: On the agenda for the day, was ostensibly, though many denied vehemently, the destruction of the masjid, which purportedly, according to the Sangh parivar entities was built in the very area the mythological Ayodhya of the epic Ramayana stood in general and in particular is the exact place where Lord Ram was born.
