India not to lodge protest against umpiring
Agencies Posted online: Thursday, January 03, 2008 at 0000 hrs IST Sydney, January 3: "We are surely disappointed at the umpiring seen in this Test, which could have a bearing on the outcome of this match but we surely are not lodging an official protest on it," the team's media manager M V Sridhar said on Thursday. BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla had stated on Wednesday that the team management would be asked to report the matter officially but there seems to have been a rethink on the issue. Several umpiring mistakes on the opening day of the Test cost Indians dearly as Andrew Symonds was reprieved twice and went on to score an unbeaten 162 to take Australia to a total of 463. |
