2nd Test: Rain stops play again, Aus 213 for two
Agencies Posted online: Saturday, January 05, 2008 at 0000 hrs IST Sydney, January 5: Australia were cruising merrily at 213 for two in 59.1 overs, when the heavens opened up, prompting players and umpires to scurry for covers. The hosts by now have established a 144-run lead over India with eight wickets still in hand. Hayden was batting on 104, along with Mike Hussey (52) who also seems good for a century. Earlier, another bout of rains had forced the umpires to call an early tea. Brief scores: Australia: 463 and 213 for two in 59.1 overs (M Hayden 104 batting, M Hussey 52 batting, P Jaques 42) India: 532. |
