Melbourne, February 10:
Indian pacemen punched holes in Australia's famous batting line-up to clean up the hosts for 159 in 43.1 overs in their tri-series one-day international.

Ishant Sharma (4 for 38), Sreesanth (3 for 31) and Irfan Pathan (2 for 26) shot out the world champions for a paltry score as India took a giant step towards recording their first win of the tournament.

No less remarkable was the wicketkeeping of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who claimed five victims including one stumping, despite putting one down in the closing stages.

Mike Hussey alone stood his ground in making an unbeaten 65 from 88 balls with three fours and shared a 53-run seventh wicket stand with Brett Lee (10).

After Ricky Ponting opted to bat, Adam Gilchrist (0) departed in the very first over when he was ruled leg before wicket by umpire Rudi Koertzen off Sreesanth even though the batsman had edged the ball on to his pads.

Matthew Hayden (25) took the attack to the Indians with a breathtaking knock off 21 balls before Sharma had him caught behind.

The Delhi speedster then bagged the man he has haunted all this summer. Ponting (9) was once again deceived by the angle of Sharma's delivery which came in and left the batsman at the last minute. Sachin Tendulkar at first slip had all the time in the world in accepting a low catch.
