Even as the Indian Institutes of Management’s declared their final results, the University Business School (UBS) is still to call students for interview. After increasing the number of seats, the institute is still mulling on how to define defining the NRIs and their seats.

Though no one is ready to own up for the delay, sources say the university was working on methods to make up for the admission they have lost after doing away with the NRI-sponsored and industry-sponsored seats.

Prof Dinesh Gupta said, “There have been internal issues which have led to the delay and the university is working on the same. The calls would be made soon.”

Sources said the decision regarding defining who the NRI’s are is lying pending with Dean University Instructions (DUI) and calls will be made only after the final decision. Once the calls are made, it will taken minimum ten days for the department to hold interviews.

The delay has made many to take admissions in other institutes and pay fees in lakhs, which is of course non-refundable. The interview calls had to be made on the basis of result of Common Admission Test (CAT), the results of which were declared in December last year.
