MUMBAI, May 11: Defending champions Air-India beat Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers 2-0 in a the WIFA Super Division football league match at the Cooperage, today.

Nitin Shetty opened the scoring in the 13th minute and Jeevan Moras increased the lead five minutes later.

In earlier Super Division encounters, Central Railway pounded Federation Cup qualifiers Bank of India 4-0 on Saturday while RCF opened this season's league with a 1-0 win over Western Railway on Thursday.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) got the better of Sachivalaya Gymkhana 5-3 in the tie-breaker in the Colaba Young Stars Div I WIFA knockout tournament at the same venue.

Full time produced a 2-2 draw with Adrian Moraes and K D'Souza scoring for PNB and Javed Sayyed and Valerian Rodrigues being on target for the Gymkhana.
