MUMBAI, May 13: Deregulation of oil and gas sector had been accepted as a desirable goal by the policy makers but it cannot be done overnight, Secretary of Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals N R Banerji said.

Dwelling on emerging opportunities and challenges in the petrochem sector at a seminar organised by the FICCI he said though attempts would be made to minimise the impact of weaknesses, the industry should take rough with smooth and make best use of available opportunities.
