MUMBAI, June 18: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Crime Branch of Mumbai police, today grilled Dwarka Prasad Bhaya, proprietor of Bhaya and Company, for three hours in connection with the Rs 1200 crore CRB Capital Markets scam. Bhaya's Calcutta based company had audited the accounts of CRB Capital Ltd.

The EOW were probing the CRB Capital Markets scam, in which thousands of depositors were defrauded. Investigations revealed that the prime accused C R Bhansali misled the depositors to believe that CRB was a safe investment, subjected to tight regulatory controls, attracting deposits over Rs 1200 crore.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court today asked the CBI director to depute one or more sleuths to help the two agents appointed by court in decoding computerised accounts of CRB Ltd.
