KANCHEEPURAM, June 17: Five women were arrested on charges of housebreaking and looting, and have been remanded to 15 days custody. According to their mode of operations, they would pose as garbage pickers and when they came upon locked houses, they would open it using metal rods and rob the house. Later, they pawned the robbed gold and silver at pawn shops Otteri and Vepery.
