MUMBAI: -- G Krishnamurthy has been appointed the chairman of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Krishnamurthy, who took over as LIC managing director in August 1996 and is holding charge of the corporation with effect from June one, will take over on June 30. He joined LIC in 1962 and served the corporation in various positions. IDBI Bank MUMBAI: -- IDBI Bank has mobilised Rs 513 crore of custgomers deposits and has build up an asset base of Rs 550 crore at its eight branches as at the end of May 1997. After Ahmedabad, which is the ninth branch, the bank has plans to open branches in the next few months in Calcutta, New-Delhi and Boarda and subsequently at Jamshedpur, jaipu and Lucknow. Prism Cements MUMBAI: -- Prism Cements has produced high quality cement during its trial production. The company has set up a state-of-the-art plant in Satna. Epson MUMBAI: -- Epson is introducing three new generation Inknjet printers based on the improved micro Piezo technology printing of the company. It is the highest ever resolution offered by an inkjet brand in the world. These printers are Epson Stylus Color 600, Epson Stylus Color 800 and Epson Stylus Color 1520. ATCO steps up MUMBAI: -- ATCO Industries has enhanced the dividend to 30 per cent for the year ended March 1997 against 21 per cent. Turnover rose to Rs 67.39 crore (Rs 50.60 crore).
