Animal activists protest against fish outlets
BANGALORE, June 25: Activists of the Akhila Karnataka Pranidaya Sangha, an organisation for animal welfare, have objected to the State government's intention of opening more outlets for fish sales, including mobile eateries. Sangha Treasurer Uttam Chand said the eateries would generate an unhygenic atmosphere, as wastes would almost certainly be dumped in the immediate vicinity of the units. He appealed to government to drop the move, keeping in mind the sensibilities of vegetarians. Copyright © 1997 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
