BANGALORE, July 2: A City-based finance firm has cheated 5 loan seekers to the tune of Rs 23.61 lakh after promising them to secure loans from financial institutions. Vijaya P Puri, a resident of Coles Park here, would promise the loan seekers that he would secure loans from other banks and institutions. He would then issue bogus cheques on behalf of the banksnstitutions and claim a small percentage as commission.
