CHENNAI, July 9: The increasing need for space in the city's most-frequented areas has caused the need for multi-storeyed parking lots that would ease the congestion on roads. According to corporation authorities, some areas that have been identified for building such parking lots are Pondy Bazaar, Luz and Purasawalkam. Bus terminals at Anna Nagar, K K Nagar and Tiruvottiyur along with other localities on the outskirts of the city are to be remodelled to have parking lots that would enable a multi-modal transport system.
