Check on India's chem arms under way
With the entry into force of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) and the submission of India's stockpile, India has joined the world of intrusive international inspections. As mandatory under the CWC, inspection of India's chemical weapons facilities has begun and is currently underway at a production site.

Friendship, not hegemony is India's motto, says PM
India does not have any designs of hegemony on her neighbours, the Prime Minister, I K Gujral said. He added that the Gujarl doctrine does not confine itself to extending a firm hand of friendship to to South Asia, but also includes countries in the Indian Ocean Rim, South East Asia, Central Asian republics, Russia and China.
