ITI keen to bounce back

PRITHAM DASS

BANGALORE, JANUARY 18: Comprehensively beaten in their previous match by Salgaocar, Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) are looking to kick-start their NFL campaign with a renewed confidence against the lowly-placed JCT here at the Bangalore Football Stadium on Friday.

The lull in the NFL proceedings, due to the jinxed SAFF Cup preparation, has given the teams plenty of time to regroup and rework their strategies. JCT, the 1996 champions, are struggling lower down the rank with just two points. “We really haven’t had much time together as a team,” said the JCT coach. “With the exception of Stephen (Abarowei) all other players are from Punjab. We started our practice just five days before the NFL last month,” he added.
