Car falls into Agra Canal, two passengers missing
New Delhi: Two persons were missing after a Maruti Zen fell into the Agra Canal in Badarpur, South Delhi, on Wednesday. Police said one of the occupants, Manish (27), was recuperating in AIIMS, while two others — Raju (25) and Deepak (18) — were missing. All three are residents of Molarband Extension in Badarpur. Personnel from Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Delhi Police and Delhi Fire Services were involved in rescue operations. “Preliminary investigations revealed that Manish was teaching one of the others how to drive. The car swerved and fell into the canal,” a senior police officer said.
