Lucknow : The court of the Lucknow district judge on Thursday issued a proclamation, asking Rangnath Mishra and Chadradeo Ram Yadav, former ministers in the BSP government, to appear before it within 30 days, otherwise their properties would be attached.

Mishra and Yadav are facing charges of taking kickbacks in return for allocating work to Labour and Construction Co-operative Federation (LACCFED) in 2010-2011. Both are absconding since the court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against them on October 25. The proclamation was issued on an application of the special investigation bureau (SIB) of the police cooperative cell, which is investigating the LACCFED scam. SIB Deputy SP AP Gangwar said the proclamation notices will be affixed at the houses of Mishra and Yadav.

Mishra had filed a petition in the Supreme Court about two weeks ago challenging the arrest warrant issued against him, but the petition was later withdrawn.
