In the event of the alliance coming to power in the state in the 2014 Assembly elections in the state, HJC chief Kuldeep Bishnoi would be the chief minister for first two-and-a-half-years, the leaders said while addressing a rally in Sirsa to mark HJC’s fifth anniversary.
“All issues that could destablise a coalition were carefully resolved at the time of BJP-HJC joining hands in 2011. These include the question of leadership while forming government and division of Lok Sabha and Assembly seats among the partners. Therefore, there is no scope of the alliance breaking on any such issue,” Swaraj said.
Attacking the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, Gadkari said the only things the current dispensation had given to the people were unemployment, inflation and rising poverty. “Congress sarkar ka bhrashtachar hawa, zameen aur pataal tak hai (The corruption by Congress has reached air, land and hades). Be it 2G scam, CWG scam or coal scam, the Congress has taken corruption to all possible levels,” said Swaraj.
Referring to the law and order situation in Haryana, Swaraj said: “The Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana has let the law and order situation get out of hand. Increasing number of sexual assaults on women, gangrapes and other heinous crimes show that the government has failed to curb crime rate in the state.”
“Sonia Gandhi had promised to end poverty within 100 days. There is Rs 21 lakh crore worth black money stashed in foreign banks and Congress has committed a scam of over Rs 4 lakh crore while being in power,” Gadkari told the crowd.
Gadkari appealed to the people to send all 10 NDA candidates from Haryana to the Lok Sabha in the 2014 general elections to enable formation of a “pro-people” government at the Centre. “The BJP governments in several states were giving credit to farmers at zero per cent interest rate. Similarly, power was being supplied at cheaper rates. Why can’t the Congress does the same in states where it is in power?” he asked.
Gadkari also wondered how Haryana could talk about industrialisation when the power supply situation in the state was “very bad”.
While addressing the rally, Bishnoi said: “I am thankful to the people of Sirsa and Haryana, who came here today to give me their blessings and love. This shows that people have shed their fear of the INLD and decided to change the political regime in the state. Chaudhary Bhajan Lal’s family has defeated Chaudhary Devi Lal’s family’s three generations in the past.”
Targeting Hooda, Bishnoi added: “Be it a labourer, employee, businessman, people from all walks of life are cursing the Congress government. The time has come for the Hooda government to go.”
While claiming that said he was optimistic that the HJC-BJP would form the next government in Haryana, Bishnoi said: “The HJC-BJP government would eradicate corruption, provide jobs to unemployed and provide a fair and free administration. We will also constitute a state development board for simultaneous growth in all parts of the state.”
Former Haryana minister Mange Ram Gupta, a close confidant of Bishnoi’s father late Bhajan Lal, and former MLA Dura Ram were among several leaders who joined HJC during the rally held on the Dussehra ground on the outskirts of Sirsa.
