In the last week's session of the Assembly, former Congress minister Manas Bhuniya seemed to have usurped the post of the leader of the Congress Legislature Party. Md Sohrab, the present CLP leader, was no match for Bhuniya so far as his smartness and gift of the gab are concerned. At all press meets it was Bhuniya who highjacked the role of CLP spokesman, something that is the prerogative of the CLP leader. As Bhuniya briefed the press, hapless Sohrab looked on. After he lost the ministership, Bhuniya wanted the post of either the CLP leader or WBPCC president, the posts he had held before. But the Congress high command so far had been lukewarm to the proposition.
