Hyderabad : A complaint was filed in a local court on Friday against Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for giving an allegedly provocative speech and hurting religious sentiments.

Advocate Kashimshetty Karunasagar, who filed the complaint in the VII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court, sought for registration of a case against Akbaruddin under Section 295A (malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion) and other sections of the IPC.

The complainant alleged he saw a video on a website, in which Akbaruddin used inflammatory words against a particular community, while addressing a public meeting in Adilabad district.
