NZ bats as it chases series whitewash in SAfrica

Potchefstroom, South Africa : New Zealand has won the toss and will bat first as it chases a rare series whitewash over the Proteas in South Africa in the third one-day international on Friday.

Days after winning their first one-day series in South Africa, the Black Caps can end their tough tour on a huge high with another victory for a 3-0 sweep in the ODIs.

New Zealand retained the same team that won in strong fashion in Kimberley on Tuesday to clinch the limited overs series.

South Africa has recalled fast bowler Dale Steyn for Morne Morkel, while Aaron Phangiso comes in for fellow left-arm spinner Robin Peterson, who has an injured hand.

New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum says the whitewash is ``very much what our focus is.''
