The school in Somwarpeth had been accused of charging fees from students belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) while admitting them for the academic year 2012-13 despite the Act stipulating free education for such students.The authorities have been asked to reply to the notice before February 7.
Congress city general secretary Nilesh Borate who lodged a complaint against the school, along with education authorities, demanded action against the school if it is found to have violated the Act.
