The CID on Wednesday filed a report in the Calcutta High Court into an alleged kidney theft at a nursing home in Sonarpur. According to the report, two kidneys and teeth of the deceased patient were collected from the body in the morgue and sent for DNA test on January 29. The results will take a month. On January 19, a division bench headed by Chief Justice Arun Mishra ordered DNA test on the kidney of Aparna Sardar, who died in a nursing home at Sonarpur on November 30. A PIL was filed alleging that the kidney was stolen by the doctors and that there was nexus between the doctors and the Sonarpur police in the incident.
