Kolkata : State Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee on Monday slammed former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, who had commented that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s brothers are amassing huge wealth. Chatterjee questioned Bhattacharjee as to where did he get the money from to set up the NGO — Aranyak — for his daughter. Aranyak works for preserving biodiversity. Chatterjee said if they were to unearth the source of money for setting up of Aranyak, Bhattacharjee would have no answers.

“Under the leadership of Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the people of Bengal knew what treatment they received from the CPM government, because of which they wanted a change in administration. Be it land acquisition in Singur, Nandigram or Netai, the picture is same everywhere. They tried to grab the land of the poor farmers,” Chatterjee said.
