Kolkata : Former minister and CPM MLA Sushanta Ghosh on Monday filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court challenging criminal proceedings against him in connection with the recovery of skeletons near his ancestral house in Garbeta. Ghosh was arrested by the CID and later released by an order of the Supreme Court. On Monday Justice Kanwaljit Singh Ahluwalia asked the CID to produce the case diary on Tuesday. The argument for framing of charges is to be heard by the additional sessions court on February 19. Ghosh’s petition states that there was not enough evidence in the chargesheet against Ghosh and he was arrested with political motivation.
