While Tejvir Singh was arrested by police, Abhishek managed to flee from the spot. Tejvir will be produced in court on Friday. Police said he is a second year law student at a private institute while Abhishek is unemployed.
The incident took place at 2 pm when the schools were about get over. The two accused were standing in a ground near Sector 20-21 light point, which is just behind the the Government Girls School, Sector 20. “
“One of the beat constables was on duty near the school as per instructions to check harassment of girls by the goons. Constable Anuj asked the two to move from that place many times. Instead of listening to the constable the two started arguing with him and entered into a scuff”e,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) East, Vijay Kumar.
Constable Anuj then informed the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sector 19 police station. The SHO reached the spot and verified the facts. By that time, however, co-accused Abhishek Gill had fled from the spot. Both the accused are residents of Sector 20.
