• Local Administration Department organised a cleanliness drive in hospitals, public places and schools

A Young Gandhi

The SV university in Tirupati has repackaged Mahatma giving him a youthful look with Young Gandhi, a programme to be introduced to students, said V Chandra Mouliswara Rao of the Centre for Gandhian Studies

• The university will launch its Young Gandhi programme between October and November

• As many as 200 students have enrolled for the programme

• Begins with a three-month orientation course on Gandhian philosophy

• Volunteers to pass on the message of Gandhi
