MUMBAI: : Tata Motors shares swung widely and closed down 0.08 per cent at Rs 679 ahead of an expected confirmation of its deal. The stock started up 1.5 per cent but fell more than 4 per cent at one stage in volatile trading. On the value of the deal for investors, Ambareesh Baliga of Karvy Stock Broking said, “From an investor point of view, the deal looks pretty expensive but from a businessman’s perspective it holds long-term value.”
