No crisis in Bihar BJP, says Kalraj Mishra
Patna:: While dissidents continued to press for a change of leadership in Bihar, party’s national general secretary and state party in-charge Kalraj Mishra held marathon meetings on Thursday in a bid to diffuse the crisis arising out of the recent Cabinet reshuffle.
Mishra ruled out any “rebellion” or “crisis” in the state unit while talking to reporters despite supporters of the two rival groups resorting to sloganeering in the state office’s compound when he was holding a meeting. He has affirmed that whatever differences existed would be sorted out. Refraining from any direct comment, Mishra said, “BJP has a tradition of collective leadership and it will be followed here too.”
Earlier in the day, Mishra met rebel leaders. They held Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi responsible for everything going wrong in the state party while pressing for a change of leadership in the state. Kalraj Mishra is scheduled to submit his report before the central leadership on Saturday, when a committee will take up the issue.
