Patna, May 5:: The ruling NDA and Opposition RJD on Monday condemned the utterances of Maharashtra Navanirman Sena President Raj Thackeray against North Indians living in Maharashtra and advised the latter to refrain from making such “inflammatory” speeches.

“Mind your language. No power across the globe can stop North Indians from offering prayers on the occasion of Chhath (a festival to worship sun god) in Maharashtra,” senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said in a press statement in Patna.

He said the allegations levelled against North Indians by Thackeray that they used to celeberate Chhath in Maharashtra as a “show of strength” were +absoultely baseless and absurd.+ RJD General Secretary Ramkripal Yadav, MP, expressing hi party’s resentments to Thackerary’s utterances against its leader and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad advised Raj to refrain from taking to “nasty politics.”

“People across the country have worked together for the development of Mumbai and will not allow Raj Thackeray to succeed in his ulterior motive,” he said.
