‘Cong to go it alone in K’taka’
Tumkur: : Congress president Sonia Gandhi declared on Wednesday that her party would not tie up with any other party in Karnataka. Addressing an election rally here, she said: “The Congress would not go in for a coalition and would not compromise on its principles for power at any cost.’’ Claiming that only the Congress could provide a stable government which would last for its full term of five years, Sonia added that non-Congress governments had never been successful in Karnataka. Taking a jibe at the previous JDS-BJP government, she said the two parties made many false promises which only “resulted in rampant corruption”.
