kolkata, may 12: A week after his high-profile arrival in the city for the IPL carnival, Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is still not fully fit to turn his arm over for the Knight Riders’s crucial match against Delhi Daredevils to be played here tomorrow.

Although the controversial speedster is expected to earn a place in the playing XI for the floodlit encounter at the Eden Gardens, Knight Riders coach John Buchanan isn’t too convinced on the eve of the match.

It is learnt that there’s pressure from IPL’s organisers and Kolkata franchise Red Chillies Entertainment to play Shoaib in tomorrow’s match, but Buchanan reckons it’s too early to take a call on the controversial fast bowler.

“He’s not yet 100 per cent fit, as far as I am concerned. He’s coming up quite well, much better than before. But I can’t say if he will play. We have to see him go through this fitness drills in the morning and then decide,” the former Australia coach said on the eve of the clash against Delhi.
