The Organiser carries a report on RSS chief K.S. Sudarshan’s remark, that rising Inflation in India can be attributed to one factor — the country has been blindly “copying the West”. “The prime minister has to repeatedly bow before them (the Communists, extending outside support to the UPA Government) and the people too have failed to recognise their interests. Since economic policies are being copied from the West, this is the prime reason for high inflation in the country when international prices shoot up,” it quotes Sudarshan as saying in Nagpur.

The RSS chief also referred to a project where “sixty-five lakh litres of petrol can be produced from 6,500 MP plastic waste and this is cheaper than ordinary petrol.” He said that the project had been discussed with the chief ministers of 12 states, “but the chief secretary of Maharashtra misled the minister of state concerned citing high cost of machinery”. The RSS chief also appealed to the PM “to bring a legislation in the Parliament for completely banning the practice of cow slaughter,” says the report.

These (Bangladeshi) infiltrators have become a major headache for the law-enforcing agencies and a real threat to internal security... It’s for the nationalist forces to take it up and create mass awareness to force the government to act, identify the infiltrators, deport them without delay and seal the border. No price in this war for national security is high.”

Former RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav was invited by the World Council of Churches in Geneva to speak on ‘Human Rights and Human Dignity — The Hindu Perspective’, last month. Madhav writes about the speech he delivered there.

“I explained the scriptural position on Varna Dharma and how it was totally non-discriminatory. The Hindu scriptures never sanctioned any discrimination on the basis of varna... While none can deny that caste discrimination did exist...
