Srinagar, July 2 The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), with 19 MLAs, has decided to vote against J-K Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during the floor test on July 7 in the state Assembly.

“We have decided to vote against Azad,” PDP's legislative party leader Abdul Aziz Zarger told The Indian Express. The decision of not supporting the Congress Government in the state was taken at a meeting held at the residence of former deputy Chief Minister Muzzaffar Hussain Beig. The meeting was attended by all PDP legislators, except party patron and former chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who is at present on a personal visit to US.

The PDP has been under fire from the National Conference (NC) for their ambiguous stand on the support to the Azad Government following the withdrawal of support to the Government.

PDP sources said party legislators will again discuss the issue on Saturday and Mufti will be present at the meet. The party is also trying to dismiss apprehensions that some of its legislators have turned rebels and might vote for Azad.
