Mumbai, July 18:: A web portal dedicated to ace woman rifle shooter Anjali Bhagwat has been launched to promote the sport as well as give the 2002 Commonwealth Games champion a platform to connect with her fans.

The portal, www.anjalibhagwat.com, would have audio and video content, latest news concerning the former world number one in air rifle event who has booked her berth for the Beijing Olympics to be held in August.

The web portal would also carry her answers to queries related to the sport, a media release said here. "I am very excited about the website as it's probably the first one of an Indian shooter. It is a step forward and will go a long way in promoting rifle shooting as a prominent sport in the country," said the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee.

"Besides, it can also be a channel for current and prospective shooting enthusiasts and my fans to know more about me and my sport as well as to communicate with me," the Arjuna award winner said.
