The Congress and its partners were not sure whether they would win the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. They came together only to keep the BJP out. Even before they entered into matrimony, they had finalised their date of separation.

Our friends on the other side have suddenly discovered merits in the Indo-US nuclear deal. Anand Sharma referred to ‘America’ nearly 12 times, while the term ‘Americans’ found its way into his speech as many as 22 times. They should now change their party’s name from ‘Congress (I)’ to ‘Congress (A)’ where ‘A’ would stand for America.

We are being told that the generation of 2050 or 2030 will remember Dr Manmohan Singh as someone who took them to light from darkness. I would say it’s exactly the other way around. India is being forced to accept the status of a non-nuclear weapon state, and the UPA government is facilitating the process. The Congress-led government thus is leading the country into darkness.

I don’t want to look at this deal from a Hindu prism or a Muslim prism. This nuclear deal is against the interests of the country, and hence against the Hindus and Muslims of the country.

I would like to warn the country that the East India Company ruled us for 300 years and we’ll now be colonised for 600 years if this deal comes through. The incumbent government alone would be responsible for that.
