: The Sun/Strike Two

She of the beehive bouffant and sailor tattoos was the victim of a video leak that exposed her at her wildest worst. And now rehab habitué Amy Winehouse has found herself a victim. Emerging from a benefit show, she whacked a middle-aged woman who had reached out for her. The Sun reports that Queen Amy cursed, shouted “and as she walked away, she let rip again”. She’s no first-timer. When she punched a fan two months ago, the paper quipped: “Amy Declinehouse appears no further toward Amy Shinehouse.”

News Of The World/Rock Unsteady

Rocker Ronnie Wood may be 61, but he has proved he's still a rolling stone. Even in rehab, there's no stopping him from meeting — hold your breath — a 19-year-old blonde waitress. There is reportedly a very strong and "electric" connection between Ronnie and Ekaterina Ivanova, aka Katia. Even as his wife of 23 years, Jo Wood, puts up a brave front, the guitarist seems to be pulling the right strings with the Russian teenager. Pictures of a bedraggled Jo, a radiant Katia and a T-shirted Ronnie frame this story of a heady cocktail and a marriage on the rocks.

Daily Mail/Crowning Glory

Prince William is probably grateful to girlfriend Kate Middleton's short psychedelic dress for diverting attention from his bald patch. Candid cameras caught the couple, bronzed from a holiday in Mustique, stumbling together into a car after partying at a London nightclub. “And all that warm weather clearly gave William a thirst,” writes The Daily Mail, splashing pictures of them striking the same dramatic pose, hand on the heart — side by side.

New York Daily News/Material Milestones

Warren Beatty told Madonna she doesn't want to live off screen; her video Justify My Love was banned by MTV; Pepsi cancelled a commercial featuring Madonna after her 1989 video Like A Prayer drew Vatican flak; at a Live Aid concert after a nude photo scandal, she famously announced, “I’m not taking off nothin’ today”. To mark Madonna’s half century, New York Daily News has compiled 50 such milestones, right from her early ‘80s crosses-and-stockings look to her onstage humps-and-grinds, and her movie career.

New York Post/To Be Or Not To Be — Together

A lament for Nicole Richie, who apparently has had to deal with three things no celeb would like to see — “their DUI mugshot, their career stall and their boyfriend hanging out with a notorious man-stealer” — Joel Madden was spotted with Mary-Kate Oslen, a friend of the couple. New York Post suggests that Richie is frustrated about Madden going off with his band all the time, but winds up with a cheerful quote from him saying that his wife and daughter “are constantly in my heart”.
