The Division number 8 police have booked the trio on murder charges. However, no arrest has been made so far.

Kamaljit (25) was shot dead last night at the Neelkanth Taxi Stand, near Dussehra Ground around 9.40 pm. Some eyewitnesses have told the police that Ahluwalia, who was in an inebriated condition, and his gunman Shammi had fired at Kamaljit, who died on the spot. After this the trio fled in a Bolero car.

Later, on the complaint of Baldev Singh, a relative of the deceased, the police booked the trio. Monetary dispute is stated to be the motive behind the murder.
