BJP starts helpline for retail investors

Ludhiana, September 06: The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has launched a helpline for helping retail investors to deal with their problems. This helpline is intended to provide consultation to over 6.3 crore retail investors and 2.5 crore NRIs. At a conference held today, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, Punjab State Chief, BJP investor cell said that the helpline intended to provide consultation to retail investors including entrepreneurs, traders, farmers, employees in the Government and private sector, scientists, academicians, administrators and NRIs having exposure to capital markets, real estate and banks.

Satpal Gosain, Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony organised at the Circuit House in the city. Gosain said he received the first call from the BJP National General Secretary Arun Jaitley who congratulated him on the initiative of the investor cell. Speaking to media persons, Grewal said that expert panels have been constituted comprising of chartered accountants, company secretaries, lawyers, income tax consultants and business planning experts headed by Rajnish Sharma (panel of chartered accountants), Bhupesh Gupta (panel of company secretaries), Sanjiv Malhotra (panel of lawyers), Narender Gupta (panel of income tax consultants) and Mohit Jain (panel of business planning and project management) respectively to provide “expert advice” to investors facing problems. Investors can either dial +91-9436-00008 on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 3 pm to 6 pm or send an email to investorhelpline@bipindia.in to get expert solutions .
