Pune, September 06: The Khadki police have arrested president of a Ganesh mandal and his brother for allegedly playing music system and loudspeakers after the 10 pm deadline on Friday.

The arrested, Uday Ravikant Dhende (28) and Ajay Ravikant Dhende (21), are residents of Rangehills in Khadki. Police sub inspector M N Watekar has lodged a complaint in this regard.

The police said that loudspeakers at Five Star Ganesh Mandal, in front of the Rangehills police chowky, were on even after 10 pm despite a warning. So a police team went to the mandal and turned off the loud speaker.

But after sometime, the Ganesh mandal members started playing music on the loudspeaker. The police team then seized the amplifier installed at the pandal.

President of the Ganesh mandal Uday and his brother Ajay then went to the police chowky and allegedly had a scuffle with the cops.
