Employers Assn launched

Pune, September 06: The Western Maharashtra Employers Association, Pune, has been formed by a group of dedicated lawyers and employers in and around Pune city, who desire harmony, productivity, efficiency, discipline, industrial peace and reform in industry.

The Association exists solely for benevolent purposes and aims at uniting employers across the state of Maharashtra. The need for forming this Association was realised so as to develop harmonious industrial relations between employers and their respective employees and thereby resolve incidental issues and matters arising between them.

This association comprises advocates practicing in the labour and industrial field and employers and representatives. The Association aims at conducting seminars, conferences, lecture series, workshops which can create awareness amongst the employers to maintain industrial peace and harmony.

It also intends to make various representations at state Government and Central government levels to introduce labour reforms and welfare measures.

The association will also make efforts to resolve complaints of corruption prevailing in various government and semi government agencies. The association plans to create a database of wage structures, industrial conflicts, wage settlements and case studies so as to enable young and aspiring professionals to develop a healthy environment in which to operate.

The association plans to undertake training and counseling sessions for trade union office bearers and management professionals to reduce industrial conflict and learn to bargain collectively in good faith.
