THE IDEA EXCHANGE

Shyam Benegal at the EXPRESS

‘I believe all my films are flawed. I simply forget about them. I don’t feel the need to burden myself by looking at what went wrong’

Shyam Benegal: It is not like that because when you are casting for a film you are casting for that particular film. It depends on the kind of roles there are and the age groups. Stars who you make have caste 20 years ago now would be little old for that role it really works like that and is not anything else. If you have parts for older people then may be you consider the senior artists because some of the actors I have worked with them almost 35 years ago so they were right for a certain kinds of roles then and a perfect for other kinds of roles.
