‘I do a mix of weights, cardio and pilates’
Tell us about your daily diet.
I am on a post-pregnancy diet. Pre-workout breakfast is a bowl of oatmeal and three egg whites. Post-exercise, it is a protein shake with lime juice. Lunch is dal, veggies and chicken tikka or grilled chicken. At tea, I have a high-fibre cracker with some tuna or chicken cuts or egg whites, whatever excites me. If still hungry, I can have a fruit with five walnuts. Dinner is before 8pm. It is soup, salad and grilled chicken.
What is your exercise routine?
Post-pregnancy, I am training under Zarine Watson. She gives me a mix of cardio interval training, weight training, core strengthening, kick boxing and pilates.
Is there anything you binge on?
I could kill for my mother’s prawn biryani and my restaurant Gondola’s beef chilli rolls and sizzlers.
What’s your favourite cuisine?
I love my Parsi Bhonu. I am also a huge fan of Thai cuisine and desi street food.
What would you do if you had to lose or put on weight in a hurry?
I don’t believe in quick fixes or looking waif-like. My entire being should radiate vitality. So, I’d never want to lose weight in a hurry. I’d rather shed it in a consistent, harmless manner.
How many times have you failed to stick to a diet?
My eating regime is a way of life, not a diet. Since I am not doing anything radical, there’s no question of breaking it. But I do indulge occasionally in my dal and rice.
What is your idea of health?
What you eat is what you are. If you take care and respect your body, life will reward you with some fantastic experiences.
