NEW DELHI: :Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday said he was still hopeful that “good sense will prevail” over the Indo-US nuclear deal. Singh, when asked about the fate of the deal, said, “We are discussing it and hope that good sense will prevail. I am negotiating in good faith.” The PM’s remarks come a day after the Left-UPA meeting on the deal in which the Government sought Left’s support in going ahead with securing the India-specific safeguards agreement with the IAEA. Asked about concerns over the build up of Chinese nuclear submarines in India’s vicinity, the PM said all precautions will be taken to protect the country. “It is a matter of great pride for our nation,” he said.
