In yet another horrific crime against women, three sisters aged 11, 9 and 5 were brutally murdered after being raped and later their bodies were thrown in a well near Lakhni village in Bhandara district of Maharashtra. Enraged locals demanded immediate police action as they blocked National Highway 06 and resorted to violence, destroying public property and burning tyres to paralyse traffic in and out of the area. Special Inspector General of Police Rajendra Singh said that a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the culprits. Meanwhile, Union minister of heavy industries Praful Patel condemned the incident by saying that the offenders should be arrested at the earliest.
